I was at the Janss Marketplace in Thousand Oaks last summer en route to the post office. I noticed this light effect as the filtered sun struck the columns of the second level of the parking garage.
I didn’t have a camera with me, so I noted the time and returned a day later. The geometry of the lines made a striking image, at least to my eye.
The effect was fleeting — no more than a few minutes. If you want to see it for yourself, be there at 2:10 on August 25.
