Simple Yet Not Easy
Dr. Michael Sparkhul is a veteran surgeon in Ventura County. His experience in the operating room led him to invent a simple device for protecting a patient’s face during surgery. Rather than elaborate about the why’s and wherefore’s of the Saving Eyes face shield, I’ll point you toward his website.
There is plenty of interesting information there.
The face shield itself was a tricky subject to photograph. It is virtually transparent with an off-white foam pad. To complicate matters, the object is dome shaped. That means it “sees” everything in the room–the lights, the camera, the photographer, etc. It can take time to work out how to get a dazzling image.
I provided three views of the Saving Face product: the hero image and two with a dummy head.
